The races will take place on Saturday, October 8th, 2022, with both races starting at 8:30 am.

The Town of Rosendale, in upstate New York, just 90 miles from NYC, provides a beautiful venue for its 5th Half Marathon and its long-standing popular 4.3m Plains Run. Come visit the quirky Village of Rosendale, once the home of the world-famous Rosendale Cement Company and now a thriving center of the arts.

Come experience breathtaking scenic views around every bend in the midst of the fall foliage. A mostly flat course, yet with just enough challenge to offer the sense of accomplishment desired.

Run across the trail that made the National Rails to Trails Conservancy’s top ten- list of most “iconic rail trails.” You will cross over the 144- year old historic Rosendale trestle bridge, which extends 900 ft. across the Rondout creek. The race will take you along scenic lakes and through a cave. Come experience the dramatic scenery of the enchanting town of Rosendale that helped build the Brooklyn Bridge with its natural limestone cement.

All proceeds (100%) will go to the Town of Rosendale Recreation Department/Youth Center.

There is a cap of 250 registrants for the entire event. Race day registration will be available if the event doesn’t sell out ahead of time.

The Shawangunk Runners are committed to offering affordable running events to the community. The race has commemorative medals for the first 150 entrants, unique awards in all standard 10-year age groups, and plentiful refreshments for everyone. If you have experienced the club’s Solstice Run, Summer Series, or After the Leaves Half Marathon, you understand the care we put into our events. Runners putting on runs for runners!
