Indoor Track is Back!

Shawangunk Runners is once again hosting a series of Friday night workouts at the indoor track in the SUNY New Paltz Athletic and Wellness Center. 

For nine consecutive Friday evenings, starting January 17 and running through March 14, a group of up to 25 runners will be granted access to the indoor track for an organized speed workout prepared by Coach Mike Barnow and led by Mark Eisenhandler. The Jan. 17 session will run from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. All subsequent workouts will run from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m.

Since we will be sharing the facility with students and other members of the college community, the SUNY Athletic Department has asked us to comply with these requirements:

  1. Facility access will be limited to a single roster of names for all nine weeks (a standing list, not one that changes each week)
  2. Per the college liability policy, the program is open to adults only (no one under 19 may participate or attend).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Access to the building for the entire series will be limited to the 25 runners whose names are on the roster at the security desk. Slots on the roster will be allocated to the first 25 people who sign up using the form below—then registration will be closed. So please don’t take a slot unless your schedule permits you to attend regularly.
