After The Leaves Have Fallen Half Marathon / Josh Feldt Memorial Run is coming up on November 8th, 2015.
For the past few years the awards at After The Leaves Have Fallen has been bread from Panera. Last year I decided to make up some little cards to go along with the bread. This year I wanted to go a bit further and see how crafty I could get. 
After much trial and error here is the first final Award for the race this year. They measure about 5.6″ x 4.2″ x .25″. They are made of poplar wood. I use a technique to transfer a photo I took at Lake Awosting to the wood. The paper is then removed and I use a laser burning machine to burn the tree image and words onto the wood. Finally it’s all covered with a layer of protection. These are 100% unique and handmade by me. There will be Awards for the Overall Male & Female as well as 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Male and Female in the following age groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Over.
We currently have 29 people registered with 71 days to go. There is a cap of 350 registrants as parking is tight at Lake Minnewaska.

The hand-hewn wood awards for the After The Leaves Have Fallen trail race are a truly special handicraft! Although it is u likely I will be a winning recipient, I appreciate the creativity and skill that you put into crafting the unique awards for this event
