After The Leaves Have Fallen Half Marathon

We are BACK at Lake Minnewaska for the After the Leaves Have Fallen/Josh Feldt Memorial Half Marathon! The race is on Sunday November 13th.

Registration link: https://www.zippy-reg.com/online_reg/index2022.php?e=1753

This run is simply spectacular as we run around two pristine glacial lakes and along the Shawangunk Ridge which affords views into 5 states. The groomed unpaved carriage trails of the Preserve are perfect for running. The Shawangunk Runners Club strives to keep running affordable for all and that explains the low entry fee of $25.
(Additional $5 discount for club members: login to your account at zippyregclubhub.com/members/?org=4 and select “Club Race Calendar” for details.)

Registration is online only. We have a max limit of 300 runners and this race typically sells out. There will be awards in all standard 10 year age groups, refreshments, and a finisher’s gift for all finishers. The race will go off at 11:30 am with packet pickup beginning at 10:30 am. We must be off the trails by 2:15 pm so for people who can’t meet the 2 hour and 45 minute race cut off time we will have an early start time at 11am giving people an extra half hour to finish. If you can’t reasonably finish with a time under 3:15 this race is not for you. There is a “virtual option” to run the course on your own from 11/14-11/20.

2019 After The Leaves Have Fallen Half Marathon Results

It was a pretty nice Sunday in November. Much better than last year! Luckily the temperature warmed up a little from Saturday and things weren’t too uncomfortable. Hopefully you all enjoyed the beauty of the trails.

First off we want to thank all the volunteers, who again, without their help we wouldn’t be able to put on our events. We highly recommend volunteering at an event to gain a new appreciation into the sport we love.

We want to thank the Mohonk Preserve for allowing us to hold the race on their property. We will be sending them a list of the emails for Non-Preserve Members and they should be sending you your free day passes.

I’d also like to thank Athletic Brewing for coming to our event and letting you all sample their non-alcoholic brews. You can find more info and where to buy at https://athleticbrewing.com/.
Look for them at other events in the area.

Initial results are available here: 2019 After The Leaves Half Marathon Results

That was our last event for the year but we look forward to seeing you in 2020!!!

2019 Rosendale Runs Results

Wow, what an absolutely amazing day to have had this race on. Beautiful bright skies with perfect temperatures allowed for some beautiful views. The colors of the leaves were out of this world out on the rail trail. I actually got to enjoy the half this year and it was spectacular. Thank you to everyone who helped make the event amazing including all of the volunteers, police and fire. Of course without runners we wouldn’t have a race at all, so thank you as well.

The food at the end was also delicious and I can never get enough chocolate milk. We hope you enjoyed the race and will spread the word for next year.

Before the results I want to apologize for not excluding the masters winners from their respective age groups. I fixed it so when looking at the results you may see you moved up a place. I really am sincerely sorry for the mix-up and promise it won’t happen next year.

If there are any issues with the results, if you have any comments or suggestions please send me an email

Rosendale Runs weather looking perfect!

Registration: http://www.rosendaleruns.org/sign-up-to-run/

With less than a week to go to the Half & 4.4 miler the weather forecast is looking glorious. I was in Rosendale today and took a trip up to the trestle and I can tell you the foliage is gorgeous. Check out the picture below.

We’re sitting at about 150 for the half and 50 for the 4.4 miler at the current moment. If you can please register ahead of time so I can make sure I have enough “medals” to give out at the finish line I would really appreciate it.

I’ve been working hard on the awards and they’re looking so good. I know it’s not a PR course, in most cases, but it might be worthwhile to push for one of the age group awards. 3 deep in both Male & Female for 10 year age groups as well as Overall and Masters (40 & Over).

I also want to mention that the 2019 After The Leaves Half Marathon is about 2/3 rds sold out. Make sure you register soon so you don’t miss out. I’ll post a new post after Rosendale Runs with a picture of this years glass and awards.
Register now though!

Rosendale Runs Results

A beautiful crisp fall day in the Hudson Valley brought us pretty perfect weather for the Rosendale Runs Plains Run and Half Marathon. We had a great turnout and, as far as I could tell, everyone enjoyed themselves. Hopefully there weren’t too many trips, falls, and skinned knees. I hope you got to enjoy the leaves and the beauty that is Rosendale, NY.

I want to thank the race directors Steve & Lisa as I know they put in countless hours getting things ready for all of you. I want to thanks the numerous volunteers who got up early and spent hours making sure you were taken care of on the course. I want to thank the fire, police & the many people from Rosendale who made the streets safe and kept you on track. There would be no races without these people. May I suggest you volunteer for a race sometime to see how much goes into it and get a different perspective. It’s a life changing event that brings great pleasure and joy.

I hope you all liked the mugs, medals & awards. I heard there was some pretty great food. I got to sample the wraps which I thought were great and I always love Chocolate Milk. I heard rumblings of some apple crumb pound cake that was fantastic that I didn’t get to try.

Now that I’ve made you read enough here are links to the results…
